Corporate Globalization and Greed

Image
Corporate Globalization and Greed What Is Corporate Globalization? What does this phrase mean? Large corporations reach across the world. They have offices and factories in many different countries. They have the financial resources to develop an underdeveloped country by introducing western automation in production and advanced technology. They change people's lives in an underdeveloped country, and not always in a good way. This is corporate globalization. Corporate globalization has already taken over the world. 60 of the world's top 100 economies are not countries but corporations. For example: Royal Dutch Shell's revenues are greater than Venezuela's Gross National Product. Walmart's revenues are bigger than Indonesia's. General Motors revenues exceed the revenues of Ireland, New Zealand, and Hungary, combined. These transnational corporations essentially own the world. It's a scary thought: the world is, in effect, owned by greedy corporatio...

All Spheres of Earth 🌎

Image
In fact If you get into the nitty-gritty, you can count as many as 17 spheres of Earth. But some spheres are just part of larger ones So today, let's round up a list of Earth's spheres. From inside to outside Earth, here the spheres of Earth. 1 Mesosphere If you started drilling a hole Inside Earth, you'd first hit the crust. Next, you'd hit the mesosphere, which consists of the core and mantle. This is where Earth's density is absolutely intense. In fact, the deepest anyone has ever dug is just 12.7 km into the crust. But the Earth's radius is 6,371 km, so we just barely scratched the surface! In order to better understand the mesosphere, we use tomography and seismic waves .  2 Asthenosphere The crust of the Earth floats on the asthenosphere. But I don't want you to picture it like a boat floating on water. It's more like a plasticky substance. The asthenosphere passively moves the continents in a process called continental drift, It's ...

Lake --  A lake is a body of water that is surrounded by land. There are millions of lakes in the world. They are found on every continent and in every kind of environment—in mountains and deserts, on plains, Types of Lakes 1.Tectonic Lakes: These lakes are formed due to the folding and faulting of plates in earth’s Crust. Caspian Sea, Lake Baikal, Tso Moriri and Pangong Tso (Ladakh) are some examples of such lakes.  2.Crater Lakes: These lakes are formed when caldera and craters are filled with water. Lonar lake in Maharashtra is one such example. 3.Glacial Lake: These lakes are formed to the erosion/melting of glaciers. Most of the glacial lakes are found in the Himalayan region in India  4.Ox-Bow Lakes: Formed due to the depositional and erosional activities of the River. 5.Lagoons: Formed due to deposition of sand bars along with the sea coast. Chilika Lake, Pulicat Lake are some of the examples. 6.Artificial Lakes: Formed by Humans for recreational, hydro...

Rivers of India

Luni River ✅The Luni or the Salt River (Lonari or Lavanavari in Sanskrit) is named so because its water is brackish below Balotra. ✅Luni is the only river basin of any significance in Western Rajasthan, which form the bulk of arid zone. ✅Luni originates from western slopes of the Aravalli ranges at an elevation of 772 m near Ajmer flowing in South West direction and traversing a course of 511 km in Rajasthan, it finally flow into the Rann of Kachchh (it gets lost in the marsh). ✅Most of its tributaries drain the steep north west of Aravalli hills and join it on left side. Its total catchment area falls in Rajasthan. ✅The peculiarity of this river is that it tends to increase its width rather than deepening the bed because the banks are of soils, which are easily erodible whereas beds are of sand. The floods develop and disappear so rapidly that they have no time to scour the bed. Mahi River ✅The Mahi basin extends over states...
